More than a full month has passed since my last journaled update. It seems appropriate I pen my thoughts here, even if the word 'pen' is a farce given I'm typing on a keyboard.

Well, I made a game, even if it was a tiny one, and it went public. It served as a benchmark for proving a few key things to myself and to iterate from:
- is the concept of petting puppies one people care about, even if you have to lure them in with a prize
- can I complete the entire game sequence myself and subsequently
- am I now prepared to at this point direct additional people under me when the opportunity arises on all aspects of game creation not limited to but including presentation, marketing, 3D and 2D design, GUI, VFX, animation, scripting, etc.
- what timeline should I expect the average industry professional based on their skill should I expect for any given task
- what metrics should I focus on fleshing out to improve retention and positive sentiment
- what kind of traffic can I expect with a free limited UGC that requires more than simply a couple clicks to join a group or favorite a game
- and just as importantly what is the sentiment of players about the difficult vs. the time it took
I got a considerable amount of data to help me shape the future of my game development how I see it working. I feel confident my experiment that cost nothing more than the 99900 robux to list the free limited was extremely helpful and gave me many key data points to consider moving forward. I also believe given that literally the only cost I had associated with this test was the limited listing fee in robux that the data is all the more meaningful - all acquisition and metrics moves were completely organic and it gives me a clear picture on whether the stylization and organization of promotional material worked well (spoilers, I think so).
The limited I chose to release (first, though I intended a second that I'll still put out in a separate event now because I got called away to real life and chose to wait rather than rush integration) was a 3D version of my mascot's inspiration - my dog, Hiroto. I chose 999 copies for several personal and business reasons.

From here, I believe it is a matter of fleshing out game functionality in a way that is fun, simple but also challenging enough to keep a person busy for hours rather than minutes. That's an exciting challenge to approach, especially considering at this point many of the assets I need already exist and need only minor additions or touch ups to be made viable.
Today, I shall polish a video walkthrough of the event that happened that summarizes for industry professionals my work and attempts to put a spotlight on just how much I am capable of and accomplished with this seemingly basic test.
I am excited to continue iterating and remain very hopeful about the future of Roblox, despite the turmoil currently plaguing the platform from corporate mismanagement. Even if Roblox ends tomorrow, I now know general lua to a proficient degree and feel confident I am capable of overseeing all elements of game design adequately. Pretty proud to be able to call myself, quite literally and possibly more than, a full stack developer.
